Fabulous Vintage King-Size Handmade "Fire Orange" Gujarat Patchwork Tapestry or Bedspread from India. Brightly Embroidered Cotton Patches. They combine antique saris and wedding gowns sewn with Zardosi embroidery, Kutch crochet, and Gujarati appliqué, mirror, and sequin work. [104 x 96 inches]. Black Cotton backing.

This is a fabulous example of the tapestry patchwork bedspreads and wall tapestries made in the Gujarat region of India. Some of the individual patches are 40-75 years old.
